Truck 8 operates at a three-alarm fire in a furniture store in Fort Worth, TX, on Aug. 14, 2003. The fire, which was started by a lightning strike, destroyed the building and contents valued at over $700,000. There were no injuries.
Dedication
This month's Firehouse® is dedicated to Lieutenant Stephen G. Gavin, 52, of the Owego, NY, Fire Department; Firefighter William F. Ramsey, 42, of the Connellsville Township, PA, Volunteer Fire Department; Assistant Chief Harry Zilkan, 56, of the Newberry Springs, CA, Fire Department; and Captain Jerry Wayne Armstrong, 45, of the Bryant, IN, Volunteer Fire Department, who died in the line of duty, September 2003.
