Firefighters in Webster, MA, mask up in preparation of an interior attack at a fire involving an occupied multiple dwelling. The fire was showing from four windows upon arrival and extended to the third floor before being controlled in 90 minutes. The Dudley and Oxford fire departments assisted at the scene. The fire occurred on May 26, 2002.
Dedication
This month's Firehouse® is dedicated to Firefighter Lewis A. Rickards, 55, of the Lewes, DE, Fire Department; Firefighter Robert Nichols Jr., 39, of the Loretto, AL, Volunteer Fire Department; Chief Ray Ebel, 62, of the Newaygo, MI, Fire District; and Firefighter Steven M. Olander, 39, of the Detroit Fire Department, who died in the line of duty, February 2002.
