Firefighters from the Reese and Community Volunteer Fire Department and Westminster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a dwelling fire during the early hours of June 9, 1998 in Westminster, Maryland. Upon arrival of firefighters, the front of the two-story dwelling was fully involved. A second alarm was requested. Seven residents jumped from the building before the fire department arrived. The fire was controlled by 40 firefighters from Reese, Westminster, Gamber, Hampstead and Winfield. The fire was determined to be an act of arson.
