Dozens of people were rescued and four were taken to Mon Valley Hospital, including two firefighters due to a fire at a Washington County high rise.

Some of the residents of Nathan Goff Apartments had trouble getting out of the building.

Firefighters and neighbors helped them to safety.

James Wadsworth said the scope of the situation became apparent when he got to the lobby.

"I got downstairs and there was water pouring out of the ceiling so I figured this was bad."

Residents are staying at the North Charleroi Fire Hall until the health department clears them to return.

The Red Cross is also assisting the fire victims.
