DAYTON --

A swarm of fire engines surrounded a home on Elkins Avenue in Dayton Sunday night as a fire ripped through their home. When our crews arrived on scene, they said they could see heavy smoke billowing from the top of the home and the garage sitting to the side of it was charred.

Neighbors said a family of six was inside the home when the fire broke out. Everyone was able to make it out ok.

They told us the family was inside and didn't even know their house was on fire. A woman who was coming home from a shopping trip saw it and called 911.

At last word, firefighters were still investigating a cause.
