Milwaukee Fire Kills Two, Injures Three Others

MILWAUKEE -- Two people were killed and three others were injured in a Milwaukee house fire. The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday near 15th Place and Washington Street. Officials said one adult and one child were killed in the fire. Deputy Chief Jack Christianson said two children got out of the house on their own and a third child was rescued. Christianson said one of those three surviving children has serious burns. The other two injuries are less serious.

The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday near 15th Place and Washington Street.

Officials said one adult and one child were killed in the fire.

The surviving children were taken to Children's Hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
