GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. --

Fire investigators in Gwinnett County are trying to determine what sparked a blaze at a golf course Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters got the call at 1:21 p.m. after someone noticed smoke and flames coming from a building at Trophy Club at Appalachee Farms on Dacula Road in Dacula.

The wood frame building was used to store golf carts and equipment. Three dozen golf carts burned. Investigators said the carts were all electric powered and 30-35 carts were being charged when the fire started.

Investigators said gusty wind conditions helped the blaze to quickly spread.

There was no one inside the building when the fire broke out and officials said no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
