Woman Attacks Responding Florida Firefighter

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A woman was charged with a hate crime in Boynton Beach Saturday night. According to Boytnon Beach police, 23-year-old Angelique Martinez was driving under the influence when she crashed her car in the 2200 block of South Congress Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Police said she attacked a firefighter who was responding to the crash and exhibited prejudice during the attack. Martinez was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail and is charged with battery on fire fighter evidencing prejudice, which is a hate crime.
