SEATTLE --

Firefighters were called to McCaw Hall at Seattle Center when a window washer fell from his seat and was clinging a rope near the top of the building.

Kyle Moore with the Seattle Fire Department said the window washer was dangling about 55 feet from the ground and was about 15 feet from the roof line.

Moore said the Fire Department's technical rescue team went to the building's roof and secured the man in ropes and then a harness to make sure the man didn't fall.

Video from Chopper 7 showed a ladder truck reach the man. A firefighter moved the man onto the ladder and the two made a slow descent.

The window washer appeared to be shaken by the experience, but otherwise OK.

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, at the Seattle Center, is the home to the Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. It consists of a 2,900-seat auditorium and a 380-seat lecture hall.
