Fire Police Lieutenant John Lockovic, 61, was found in cardiac arrest by responders from West End Ambulance and was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

He had responded to a report of a motorcycle crash that occurred just before noon.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
