KISSIMMEE, Fla. --
Four days after the fire started, firefighters are still going through the rubble of what used to be the Vacation Lodge Maingate Motel.
Firefighters are examining the charred remains of the motel to make sure the fire is completely extinguished and to make sure that no one was left behind during the motels evacuation, officials said.
It took more than 100 firefighters from the Osceola County Fire Rescue to extinguish the massive fire that broke out on Sunday.
Officials expect to be finished sifting through the rubble by the end of the week.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire. The cause will be released once the investigation is finished.
All branches of CenterState Bank have started accepting donations to benefit the survivors through Give Kids Safe Shelter, Inc.
Money collected will go toward replacing the items survivors lost such as drivers licenses, baby formula and medical necessities.
Those interested in donating can write a check out to Give Kids Safe Shelter with a note indicating that its for the Vacation Lodge Relief Fund.
