Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With Fla. Fire Truck

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a Tallahassee fire truck Wednesday night, according to The Tallahassee Democrat.The civilian, 25-year-old James Anthony Revell, was traveling south on White Drive when he collided with the fire truck, traveling westbound on Tennessee Street, at approximately 8:23 p.m.The fire truck was responding to a call and had its lights and sirens on, according to police department spokeswoman Susan Newhouse.

The fire truck was responding to a call and had its lights and sirens on, according to police department spokeswoman Susan Newhouse.

"Everyone else had seen the (truck) lights and had stopped," witness Wayne Almy told the newspaper. "(The truck) slowed and blared its horns. You know how they do. They slow, trying to make sure everyone is aware of their presence and is coming through."

The crash is still under investigation.
