1,000 Tons of Hay Burns at Calif. Barn Fire

TURLOCK, Calif. -- Up to 1,000 tons of hay was lost after a fire broke out at a Turlock dairy Monday. The fire ignited just after 7 a.m. at the G J Silva Dairy at Harding and South Commons roads. The cause of the fire is being investigated. Multiple fire agencies were at the scene of the fire working to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

Up to 1,000 tons of hay was lost after a fire broke out at a Turlock dairy Monday.

The fire ignited just after 7 a.m. at the G J Silva Dairy at Harding and South Commons roads.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Multiple fire agencies were at the scene of the fire working to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.

Fire crews told KCRA 3 that the hay fire will burn itself out over several weeks and crews will be at scene to monitor the fire.

The fire was contained to one hay barn and no homes were threatened. No cows were injured by the blaze.
