Big fires continue to plague Camden, N.J.

Just ten days after 12- and eight-alarm fires occurred two days apart of each other, another large multi-alarm blaze struck the city early Sunday morning.

Crews responded to a seven-alarm fire at the former site of the Concord Chemical Plant on the 1700 block of Federal Street at approximately 5:15 a.m., according to WPVI.

Flames were shooting from the upper floors when firefighters arrived and parts of the building collapsed.

Neighboring homes had to be evacuated but no injuries were reported.

It took firefighters more than three hours to get the blaze under control.

Hazmat crews were on the scene but discovered that many of the chemicals were removed from the former soap making plant after an EPA clean up in May.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
