Calif. Battalion Chief Crashes Responding to Fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Kern County Fire Department's battalion chief was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon while responding to a fire. Spokesman Sean Collins said that around 1:25 p.m., KCFD battalion chief Jack Froggatt was headed to a structure fire with lights and sirens on and was involved in a two-car accident. The crash happened at the intersection of Coffee and Hageman roads Froggatt is listed with minor injuries.

The Kern County Fire Department's battalion chief was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon while responding to a fire.

Spokesman Sean Collins said that around 1:25 p.m., KCFD battalion chief Jack Froggatt was headed to a structure fire with lights and sirens on and was involved in a two-car accident.

The crash happened at the intersection of Coffee and Hageman roads

Froggatt is listed with minor injuries.

The KCFD hasn't released much information regarding the crash, but the Bakersfield Police Department will be conducting the investigation with assistance from the KCFD.
