Disabled Man Rescued From Boston Subway Pit

A disabled man was rescued from a Boston subway train pit late Wednesday night after his wheelchair fell off of a platform.
A disabled man was rescued from a Boston subway train pit late Wednesday night after his wheelchair fell off of a platform, according to The Boston Globe.

The man sustained lacerations and broke his right ankle following the incident that occurred at the MBTA Broadway Station just before midnight.

The next train was scheduled to arrive just seven minutes after he fell into the pit.

MBTA personnel, transit police and Boston firefighters worked franticly to rescue him.

The unidentified man was treated on scene by Boston EMS and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
