Ohio Woman Tries to Hit Firefighters With Vehicle

ELMWOOD PLACE, Ohio -- Police took a woman into custody Tuesday night who was accused of trying to hit two Elmwood Place firefighters. Officers said the woman crashed into a pole outside the fire station. When firefighters came outside to help, she tried to run them over, officers said. According to reports, she also struck the fire station, causing the airbags to deploy in her car, then drove off.

Police took a woman into custody Tuesday night who was accused of trying to hit two Elmwood Place firefighters.

Officers said the woman crashed into a pole outside the fire station. When firefighters came outside to help, she tried to run them over, officers said.

According to reports, she also struck the fire station, causing the airbags to deploy in her car, then drove off.

The woman was eventually arrested and cited for failure to control and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was later released on bond.
