KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. --
A man died Wednesday in the back of a tractor-trailer after some 3,000-pound windows fell on him, according to Key Biscayne Fire Rescue.
The incident happened in an 18-wheeler at Harbor Drive and Harbor Lane on Key Biscayne.
Key Biscayne fire officials said the man was delivering windows to a vacant home. He was in the back of the 18-wheeler when two glass windows fell and crushed him, officials said.
Lt. Marcos Osorio, of Key Biscayne Fire Rescue, said the windows weighed about 3,000 pounds.
Firefighters cut a hole in the truck in the hope of rescuing the man, but he had already died, according to fire officials.
No other injuries were reported.
