Miss. Firefighter Stricken While Clearing Debris

A Mississippi firefighter who suffered a fatal heart attack while clearing storm debris last week has died.  Charles Foster, 59, was an 11-year member of Barton Volunteer Fire Dept. in Olive Branch. On Tuesday, he and others were clearing debris when he collapsed. Fellow firefighters started CPR. He was on life support, and died Saturday, according to the department's Facebook page. Foster held a number of positions during his tenure including lieutenant and captain.

Visitation will be begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4 at Brookside Baptist Church.
