An Ohio firefighter was injured early Wednesday in a crash involving his ladder truck and a semi.
The ladder truck from North Ridgeville Fire Department was attempting to make a U-turn on I-80 when it was struck on the driver's side door by a semi truck, according to WEWS.
Ohio Highway Patrol officers reported the ladder was westbound when firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the eastbound lanes, the station reported.
The ladder was struck as it attempted to make the U-turn from a lane other than the left-most lane.
The semi driver was not hurt. Injuries to the firefighter were not disclosed.
