SUV Hits Colorado Fire Truck, Three Injured

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. -- A firefighter and two other people were hurt Wednesday afternoon after two crashes on Interstate 70 at the bottom of Floyd Hill. A sport utility vehicle rear-ended a Clear Creek Fire Authority ladder truck while it was on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident, according to Clear Creek County. The fire truck was providing traffic control, according to the fire authority. All three people were taken to St. Anthony’s Central Hospital with minor injuries.

A firefighter and two other people were hurt Wednesday afternoon after two crashes on Interstate 70 at the bottom of Floyd Hill.

A sport utility vehicle rear-ended a Clear Creek Fire Authority ladder truck while it was on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident, according to Clear Creek County. The fire truck was providing traffic control, according to the fire authority.

All three people were taken to St. Anthony’s Central Hospital with minor injuries.

The crashes were reported just before 4 p.m.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-70 for several hours. Eastbound traffic was rerouted to Highway 6 during the closure.
