    Texas Firefighter Injured While Battling Blaze

    HOUSTON -- A firefighter was hurt while battling a blaze in Southwest Houston on Wednesday. Houston firefighters fought flames at the Los Arcos Apartments on Fondren Road near Ludington Drive at about 8:30 a.m. The fire was quickly contained, officials said. One of the firefighters hurt his back and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. His condition was not released. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
