Six Rescued From Roof of Burning Seattle House

SEATTLE -- Six people were rescued from the roof of a burning home in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood early Friday morning. Firefighters were called to the home on 9th avenue northwest and northwest 65th street around 4:15 Friday morning. Firefighters found flames coming from the two-story home and six people on the roof. One person jumped off the roof into the arms of a firefighter and Seattle Police officer. Two others inside the home escaped.

Six people were rescued from the roof of a burning home in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood early Friday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home on 9th avenue northwest and northwest 65th street around 4:15 Friday morning.

Firefighters found flames coming from the two-story home and six people on the roof. One person jumped off the roof into the arms of a firefighter and Seattle Police officer.

Two others inside the home escaped.

All 8 victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

One woman has life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters are still trying to figure out what sparked the fire.
