BOULDER CREEK, Calif. --

A man previously in jail on suspicion of dialing 911 on every pay phone in Boulder Creek is now facing arson charges.

Larry Francis Bourdeau, 64, was arrested Tuesday on charges that he started a fire at The Mountain Store market late Saturday evening.

The market's bulletin board was set on fire at about 11:34 p.m. Deputies said surveillance video showed that at midnight, three teenage males extinguished the blaze, saving the store. The video also shows Bourdeau starting the fire, deputies said.

Bourdeau had already been taken into custody at the Santa Cruz County Jail earlier Tuesday after deputies said he repeatedly called 911 on city pay phones and then left the phones of the hook.

Deputies said a total of seven calls were made to 911 by Bourdeau on Tuesday.

Bourdeau remains in custody on $25,000 bail.
