ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --

A sour-cream packed tractor-trailer flipped over late Monday night on Interstate 25, causing traffic delays throughout Tuesday morning’s commute.

The big rig was carrying 40,000 pounds of sour cream.

After the rollover, the driver was trapped inside his semitruck. Rescue crews were eventually able to get him out and take him to University of New Mexico Hospital for treatment.

“We don't know the injuries for sure but he was conscious, breathing, speaking with rescue personnel,” Lorenzo Garcia, with the Albuquerque Police Department, said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Traffic was slowed in the area until 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, so crews could clear the scene and clean up all of the sour cream.
