Calif. Firefighter Hurts Back During School Blaze

A school was severely damaged after flames erupted in Placer County.

The fire happened at Glen Edwards Middle School in Lincoln just after 1 a.m. Sunday.

Fire officials said at least three classrooms were destroyed and estimate damages at more than $100,000.

One firefighter also hurt his back.

Officials said the fire was especially difficult to for crews to tackle because the same department was called to a house fire 10 minutes prior.

Other agencies stepped in to help.

Fire officials said they are now looking into what started the fire blaze.
