BOSTON --
Two firefighters were seriously hurt when a two-alarm fire broke out at a home in Sandwich Monday.
Their names were not immediately released.
The fire occurred at 15 Open Trail Road at the Ridge Club, a private golf community. Neighbors said it appeared a gas grill with a gas line hose attached exploded. The fire extended to the house, they said.
The fire department has made no official determination on the cause of the blaze.
The fire chief said both firefighters had broken bones. They were taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
The homeowner did not want to comment.
