S.C. Church Hall Burns, Collapses

LENOIR, N.C. -- Friday night, firefighters battled a fire at the Resurrection Hope Church of God in Lenoir. The fire caused the roof of the fellowship hall to collapse. The hall is connected to the church at Stacey Place. Crews don't know the cause, but firefighters said there were many lightning strikes prior to the call. Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson confirmed there was a lightning strike very close to the church that might have started the fire. No injuries were reported.

The fire caused the roof of the fellowship hall to collapse. The hall is connected to the church at Stacey Place.
