Arizona Fire Captain Dies After Training

An Arizona firefighter stricken after a training drill earlier this week has died. Capt. Dennis Robinson, 61, was with the Three Points Fire District in Tucson, Ariz. On March 30, he participated in roof ventilation training with others from his station. A few hours later, he fell ill and was transported to a hospital where he died the following day. Robinson was actively involved as a firefighter since 1984 serving in the communities of Avra Valley, Picture Rocks and Three Points, according to his obituary.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 2 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 3 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, N. Oracle Rd & W. Miracle Mile.
