Md. FF Treated After House Blaze

EDGEWATER, Md. -- A firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment after an early-Tuesday house fire. The blaze occurred just after 1:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Rehling Drive. Nearly 50 firefighters responded to the scene and needed about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. About $77,000 worth of damage was done to the home's garage. Two people were home at the time of the fire but got out safely. Firefighters said the home was inhabitable.

A firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment after an early-Tuesday house fire.

The blaze occurred just after 1:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Rehling Drive.

Nearly 50 firefighters responded to the scene and needed about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control.

About $77,000 worth of damage was done to the home's garage. Two people were home at the time of the fire but got out safely.

Firefighters said the home was inhabitable.

The firefighter was treated for an injury to his hand.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
