SEATTLE --
A firefighter was injured while fighting a fire that broke out in an International District restaurant early Tuesday.
The fire started in the V Garden Seafood Restaurant in the bottom of a 12-story apartment building.
Crews went to the building at Fourth and Main streets at about 4 a.m. and quickly knocked down the flames, but smoke quickly filled the Downtowner apartment building and forced the evacuation of dozens of residents.

The residents, many of whom were in robes and nightclothes, were provided with a Metro bus so they could stay warm while the fire crews doused the flames.
A firefighter was taken to Harborview Medical Center after injuring his knee. He's expected to be OK.
Officials said the fire was contained to the restaurant's kitchen.
