Houston FF's Battle Scrap Yard Blaze

HOUSTON -- An east Houston scrap metal yard caught fire on Sunday, KPRC Local 2 reported. Houston firefighters battled flames at the Derichebourg Recycling USA on Harrisburg Boulevard near Navigation Boulevard at about 10:45 a.m. Thick black smoke could be seen for miles as crews worked for hours to put the fire out. The fire department used fire boats to help fight the flames. Several stacks of junk cars were burned. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
