Ga. Medic Ejected in Ambulance Crash

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. --  The Georgia State Patrol is investigating an ambulance crash that injured four people in Douglas County. Saturday night, the ambulance had its sirens and emergency lights on when it collided with a car on Anneewakee road, according to investigators. The ambulance flipped, throwing a paramedic from the vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating an ambulance crash that injured four people in Douglas County. Saturday night, the ambulance had its sirens and emergency lights on when it collided with a car on Anneewakee road, according to investigators.

The ambulance flipped, throwing a paramedic from the vehicle.

"We were inside watching the TV. and then all of a sudden we heard the sire going and we head a big boom and came outside and saw the ambulance in the ditch," said resident Mellissa Chapelle.

The driver of the car has an injured shoulder and broken leg.

The ambulance was on the way to a fire.

The Georgia State Patrol is still investigating the incident.
