Pa. Arson Fires Stop After FF's Death

WESTOVER, Pa. -- The investigation continues into a string of arsons in Clearfield County. Several fires last fall were ruled arson, including a fire at an abandoned house in Westover. Firefighter Roy Westover, Jr. died of a heart attack after fighting that fire. Nearly five months later, no arrests have been made as part of the investigation. The fires stopped shortly after Westover's death.

The investigation continues into a string of arsons in Clearfield County.

Several fires last fall were ruled arson, including a fire at an abandoned house in Westover.

Firefighter Roy Westover, Jr. died of a heart attack after fighting that fire.

Nearly five months later, no arrests have been made as part of the investigation.

The fires stopped shortly after Westover's death.

In his hometown of Westover, friends said they're confident that police are still working hard on the case.

But they added that someone needs to be brought to justice for starting that fire last fall.
