COCKEYSVILLE, Md. --
A light rail train and tractor-trailer collided Tuesday morning in Cockeysville, causing the partial derailment of the train.
The crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the 10000 block of Gilroy Road. A tractor-trailer traveling north collided with a southbound light rail train.
The light rail operator was trapped for more than 20 minutes. She was taken to Shock Trauma with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Seven passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Shuttle buses were called to transport light rail passengers to other stops.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
