Motorcycle Sweepstakes to Benefit NFFF

March 20, 2009

Now that spring has sprung, have you thought about what it would be like to jump on a motorcycle for a ride?

How sweet it would be if you'd won that bike in a sweepstakes for the National Fallen Firefighters' Foundation.

The NFFF has teamed up with Pierce Manufacturing and Harley-Davidson to raffle off a custom HD Fat Boy Special Edition motorcycle.

All the money donated will benefit the NFFF as they continue to assist the families of the nation's fallen heroes.

"We are encouraged by the tremendous response we've had during the first part of our campaign.. It is remarkable to see so many extraordinary people who are willing to support the families of fallen firefighters, many of whom are dependent upon the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for emotional and financial support," Wilson Jones, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president of Fire & Emergency division .and president of Pierce Manufacturing said in a prepared statement.

People attending FDIC next month will be able to see the motorcycle as well as purchase related items.

Ron Siarnicki, NFFF executive director, said he is impressed with how the campaign is progressing thus far. He added that funds will be used for the various programs sponsored by the foundation.

"I am thrilled to join with Harley Davidson and Pierce to raise awareness about the foundation. It's important that people know we are here to support the families."

The winner will be selected in May during a brief ceremony in Washington, D.C.
