IRWIN, Pa. --
A hotel fire in Irwin in Westmoreland County has left more than a dozen people homeless and a building in danger of collapse.
The fire started just after 7 a.m. Thursday at the Irwin Hotel in the 200 block of Main Street.
Fire crews battle flames at the Irwin Hotel
Channel 4 Action News' Jennifer Miele reported that fire officials said the flames, which were started by a kitchen fire, have left the hotel in danger of collapsing.
Emergency officials said they believe all of the residents were able to escape the fire, and so far there haven't been reports of any injuries. However they will be using fire dogs to continue their investigation and make sure everyone was able to get out of the building.
