Suspicious Package on Ohio Bus Posed No Threat

CINCINNATI --

Police officers and firefighters were called Wednesday afternoon to a Metro bus in the West End.

Dispatchers said a suspicious package had been found on board the bus, which stopped in the 1400 block of Bank Street.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, and bomb squad personnel removed the package and investigated its contents.

The bag, which contained football shoulder pads and a playbook, was determined to be safe, and the bus resumed its route.

No injuries were reported.
