SACRAMENTO, Calif. --

Fire crews started the new year on Thursday battling a three-alarm blaze at a Sacramento office building where arson-related fires recently broke out, authorities said.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews were called out at 11:54 p.m. Wednesday to a two-story commercial complex located at 950 Fulton Ave. in the Arden area.

More than 60 firefighters, including firefighters from the Sacramento Fire Department, were called in help bring the blaze under control.

Damage was estimated at $200,000 and the cause was under investigation. No firefighters or civilians were injured.

On Dec. 22, firefighters were notified of five fires that were ignited in the same building. Those blazes never spread and resulted in very minor damage. No arrests were made on those arson fires, authorities added.
