Pittsburgh Firefighter Found Dead in Station

Firefighter Richard Burns was found dead in the firehouse on May 24 by fellow firefighters from a cause still to be reported.

The USFA has reported the on duty death of Pittsburgh Firefighter Richard Burns.

Firefighter Burns was found dead in the firehouse on May 24 by fellow firefighters from a cause still to be reported.

According to Pittsburgh's Union's Web site, Burns, 43, served the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire since 1999.

Funeral Information

Visitation for Firefighter Burns will be held Monday, May 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. Pittsburgh, Penn.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28 at 10 a.m. at St Rosalia's Church, 411 Greenfield Ave. Pittsburgh, Penn.
