Massachusetts Fire Truck Overturns

The two occupants of the fire truck suffered minor injuries and were transported to Cape Cod Hospital.

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. -- A fire truck overturned yesterday morning near the intersection of Snail Road and Route 6, Provincetown police officials said.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. while Provincetown Ladder Truck 192 was out for a road test, a police department press release said.

The two occupants of the fire truck suffered injuries and were transported to Cape Cod Hospital, police said. Officials at the scene told reporters that the injuries were "minor."

The truck had "significant damage" and is out of service, the release said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by Provincetown Officer Rachel Peters and Wellfleet Sgt. Michael Hurley of the Cape Cod Accident Reconstruction Team, the release said.
