LOUISVILLE, Ky. --

A man was critically injured in a structure fire Saturday night died Sunday afternoon.

Bill Christie was taken to University Hospital with what initial reports said were burns to more than 30 percent of his body.

A hospital official confirmed Christie died from his injuries Sunday afternoon.

The Louisville Fire Department was called to the 900 block of Shelby Parkway at 10:45 p.m.

A large warehouse was fully engulfed by flames, prompting the call for additional fire units.

The fire spread to a neighboring two-story home occupied by five residents and a business.

No one in the home was injured.

Chief Greg Frederick said at least 10 other buildings and cars were damaged by the fire.

Firefighters spent most of the night putting out hot spots.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
