DES MOINES, Iowa --
A Des Moines firefighter was hurt Tuesday while fighting a house fire.
Firefighters were called to 3930 50th Street around 10:30 a.m. Inside the home's basement they found a small but smoky fire.
It was quickly put out and everyone escaped.
A firefighter suffered shoulder and ankle injuries after he fell down some stairs.
