Four Found Dead At Scene of California House Fire

Four people were found dead Tuesday at the scene of a house fire in Lancaster, authorities said.

LANCASTER, Calif. --

A woman and three girls were found dead Tuesday morning at the scene of a house fire in Lancaster.

The fatalities were discovered when firefighters extinguished the fire, which was reported about 7 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Avenue J-3, said Los Angeles County fire Inspector Ron Haralson.

Firefighters doused the flames in the one story, single-family home in about 20 minutes, Haralson said.

The cause of death and the cause of the fire were under investigation.

The dead were listed as a woman and three girls, according to the sheriff's department. Their ages and names were not immediately released.
