Maryland Police Search for Stolen Ambulance

Police are looking for an ambulance stolen Thursday night from Carroll Hospital Center.

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. --

Police are looking for an ambulance stolen Thursday night from Carroll Hospital Center.

Authorities received the call at about 10:53 p.m. Thursday.

Officials told WBAL TV 11 News that the medical crew had just finished dropping off a patient at the hospital when someone got in and drove off.

The ambulance is described as red and white and is Carroll County Ambulance No. 29 assigned to the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Department.

State Police said the culprit was captured on surveillance video at the hospital and investigators are working on a description of the driver.
