Fire crews rescued a family of ducks from a storm drain in a Sacramento neighbornood Monday.

Crews were called to Breckenwood Way at about 8 a.m. Neighbors said they called for help after noticing the mother duck walking around the street without her 11 ducklings.

"This duck had also been in my courtyard, because I have a pond, and it had been in my courtyard for about five days in a row, so we were kind of looking for babies to be born and then there they were this morning," resident Carole Herman said.

Firefighters used a golf ball scooper to lift the ducklings out of the drain and reunite them with their mother.
