Man had already stolen a truck

A former volunteer firefighter with the Lewisberry Fire Company has been arrested and charged with stealing from the company.

Newberry Township Police said they caught Richard Cramer, 26, loading a fire company safe onto a stolen truck around 3:30 a.m. today.

Police said after Cramer was taken into custody, he also confessed to stealing nearly $1,000 from the fire company last month.
