Seattle Firefighters Rescue Woman Trapped In Chimney

The woman was trapped 30 feet down in a chimney.

SEATTLE --

Seattle firefighters rescued a woman who was trapped 30 feet down in a chimney at the corner of 16th Avenue and East Union Street in Seattle Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the woman was on the building roof yelling and throwing things when she disappeared.

Police said they located the woman down the chimney after she had shimmied into a boiler or boiler room.

Rescuers were able to get the woman out safely and she was transported to an area hospital.
