Like many of you, I have spent a great deal of time in the last day or so riveted to my television trying to grasp the magnitude of the natural tragedy that has struck the Gulf Coast of the United States.

Like many of you, I have spent a great deal of time in the last day or so riveted to my television trying to grasp the magnitude of the natural tragedy that has struck the Gulf Coast of the United States. Images of deserted streets and devastated neighborhoods, interspersed with shots of Coast Guard helicopters lifting people off of roof tops have hit me like a solid punch to the solar plexus.
