A man was killed in a house fire in Milford Township late Wednesday night.
The victim's wife called 911 at about 11 p.m. to report the fire at the couple's two-story home on Our Land Acres Drive, according to police. She told firefighters her husband was still upstairs.
Firefighters found the man unconscious in a second-floor bedroom. Rescue crews performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the man was transported to Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The couple's two children were not home at the time of the fire, police said. The victim's name was not released pending family notification.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
